SCHEDULE

1. Home team is the last team listed in the above schedule. For example, team 1 @ team 2 means that team 2 is the home team.
2. The home team is responsible for providing the game ball. The visiting team is responsible for providing a back-up ball.
3. The winning team is responsible for reporting the score to the League registrar.
4. All games are played at Loma Alta Park in Altadena.
5. By manager's vote, games for Fall 2000 will be played on Wednesdays.
6. The JPL rules for Fall 2000 are the same as those used in the Spring and Summer 2000 leagues. The JPL B-League rules are available on the ERC homepage, www.jplerc.org, by clicking on "JPL Softball Program", then "Fall Season" (in the B League section) and finally on "Rules" (in the General Info, Rules, Etc section).

TEAMS

FREE AGENTS

DATES

• August 28: inital team fee of $230 due to ERC; roster due to ERC and registrar.
• September 13: season begins; remainder of team fees if any due to ERC.
• September 22: roster freeze - last day to add or drop players freely from roster. The manager must notify the registrar.
• October 6: final roster freeze - last day to add recent hires or replacements due to injury or relocation. Replaced players may not rejoin the team.
• November 15: last week of season. Final team fee of $245 due to ERC.

GENERAL INFO, RULES, ETC.

• B League is competitive
• Games on Wednesdays (Tuesdays if necessary). Start times are 5:40, 7:00, and 8:20.
• Location: Loma Alta Park
• Paid umpires
• 10-week season
• Address any questions, comments, or complaints about the fields or umpires to Kelly Perry or Richard Chen. If there is some such problem, contact either one the day after the occurrence to ensure prompt corrective action.

• male:female ratio of 8:2
• Cones at 180 feet.
• For female batters, if defense has 10 players, 4 must be behind the cones; 9, 3; 8, 2. For male batters, if defense has 10 players, 3 must be behind the cones; 9, 3; 8, 2.
• tree on the left-field line: if the ball is stuck in the tree, ground-rule double. Otherwise, hitting the tree is the same as hitting an outfield wall or bouncing on the ground.

• J: JPL or Caltech employees, contractors, students, and retirees
• F: family members of J's: spouses, children, parents, and siblings
• N: anyone else, at most 20% of the roster or 4 players, whichever is less
