Hello all,

  1. The fee for the summer is $205. Get your money and rosters in to the ERC asap.

  2. The schedule for summer ball is below. Home teams are listed second and are responsible for providing the game balls (which I will deliver before or on the 29th).

    Because almost every team in the league prefers early games, I made the schedule differently this season. The season does not "mirror" itself after the mid-point. Instead, each team plays ~1/3 of its games at each of the three times.

    Also, we have *no* make-up dates due to all of the El Nino rain-outs this year. Therefore, if we have to reschedule, it will have to be done on another day of the week (most likely Tuesdays). I apologize in advance to those who will be inconvenienced.

  3. The vote for the height limit/ceiling rule was: 2 No's, 2 Yes' and 2 Whatevers. Therefore, for simplicity, I would like to keep the same rule that we have been using (ie, minimum height is above the batter's head; no maximum height).

Hello all,

  1. The summer league will begin on Monday, 6/29. The registration form is on the softball web page (http://www.jplerc.org/softball/softball.html) in Postscript and Excel. Please get them in to the ERC asap. I am trying to find out how much the registration fee is. When I know, I will send another e-mail. Also, I will do the schedules when I know "beyond a shadow of a doubt" the number of teams in the league. Again, I will let you know, when I do.

  2. I have had three teams ask to have a rule which limits the height of pitches. I would like to get a vote on this. Please let me know the vote of your team by e-mail or voice mail before next week. My contact info is below.

  3. Thank you, John Swift, for arranging for the fields and umpires again this year!!!
