By vote of attending managers the deadline to pay the initial team fees of two hundred dollars has been moved to September 3, 1999. (That is this Friday) Since field availability is limited this year (see below) the only way to guarantee your teams participation in Fall Softball is to pay your fees by that time.
The date paying the remainder of the team fees is September 17, 1999.
ROSTERS
The new league commissioner has ruled that players should be rostered before they play games in the fall league. Once the Final Rosters are posted that the requested changes to a teams roster take effect when the manager of that team receives a confirmation by e-mail from the League?s registrar, Richard Chen, or his designated representative.
SCHEDULES
After the meeting, Richard Chen volunteered to be the league scheduler. He will make the schedule once all the teams have signed up and a agreement reached on the schedule format.
FIELDS
Forget what I said at the meeting. I have some good news and some bad news. First the good news. The county will not be charging us for lights, so our fees will be reduced. The bad news is that Loma Alta Park will not be ready until November. Because of this we will be switching our games to Farnsworth Park. Additional dates to those dates that the league has already scheduled may not be available. So, we may have a hard limit to the number of teams that we may enter into the league and each team in the league may be scheduled for less than ten games this fall season. (which will again lower the individual team fees).
